FabFitFun Box Review: Spring 2019

I got my first FabFitFun box almost a year ago – it was the Summer 2018 Editor’s Box- and I have been OBSESSED ever since. I have not been let down by a box yet, and this one is no exception.

My life has been so hectic, so this post is a little late. I simply left the box – unopened – in my closet and the big reveal just came during my box photoshoot! You know my life must have been something crazy if I didn’t even sneak a peak into this box! I am always the one counting down to the spoiler alerts- and I ALWAYS check the website when the box ships since they reveal everything in the box once it ships!

I honestly forgot what was even in the box since I checked the items after it was shipped out. It was like a completely new surprise. And boy was I happy.

How does FFF work?

I am an annual member (meaning I signed up to get every season of the box for 1 year rather than purchasing a box each season), so I am able to choose 5 items in my box. For the items you can choose, there are typically 3 or 4 items you can choose from for each choice. If you choose to buy your boxes season by season, then you can choose 3 items. In addition, there are a few more items that are in everyone’s box.

The box I chose had 8 full-sized items that valued a total of  $257. I did not choose the most expensive items when picking my 5 items, but instead I chose things that I would more likely use (or at least would want to use).

What Did I Get?

🌸Unplug Meditation Aromatherapy Diffuser (Value $55)

• Description:
  • Turn your home into an Unplug Meditation studio. Diffuse included “Happy” essential oil while watching the diffuser change colors for the ultimate zen experience.
• Rena’s Thoughts:
  • I have wanted one of these for THE LONGEST time. I love essential oils- they can make a world of difference in helping me to relax and de-stress. Eucalyptus is hands-down my favorite- if you haven’t tried it before then it is a must!
  • This was the very FIRST item I opened up from the box. I filled it up with water, put in 6 drops of the Happy essential oil, and plugged it in! It is so cool – it changes colors and releases the essential oil-infused mist into the room! The Happy oil smells like mandarin oranges and the diffuser makes the room smell slightly orange-y but not overpowering like an air freshener can be!

🌸Quay Australia My Girl Sunglasses in Black/Smoke (Value $55)

• Description:
  • With black hardware, chic metal accents, and an oversized frame, these cat-eye sunnies can be rocked by any gal. Style these with a high ponytail to emphasize the sharp cat-eye shape.
• Rena’s Thoughts:
  • I honestly never thought I would be able to pull-off cat-eye sunnies since I have almond-shaped Asian eyes and a rounder face. I almost never order sunglasses online, because I always HAVE to try them on in-person since there are many that are NOT flattering on me at all. These, however, are amazing and I am obsessed! (I am wearing them in the featured image!)
  • I also have been meaning to try Quay (pronounced “Key” apparently) for a while- a friend of mine introduced me to it maybe a year or two ago. They are very sturdy, which is important to me because I am very clumsy and prone to breaking things.

🌸Giadzy Copper Plated Measuring Spoons (Value $15)

• Description:
  • Perfect for baking or cooking, the copper-plated measuring spoon set is the perfect chic addition to your kitchen.
• Rena’s Thoughts:
  • I am currently house-shopping, and I have been obsessing over ideas of how I would want to decorate my future kitchen. Btw, STILL FREAKING OUT OVER THE THOUGHT OF IT BEING MY VERY OWN KITCHEN!!
  • Anyways, this would look incredible with a bunch of mixed metal items – also things I don’t yet own. But hey, a girl can dream right?

🌸Ciate London Extraordinary Translucent Setting Powder (Value $22)

• Description:
  • The secret to flawless make-up? Use the lightweight, finely milled powder as the last step in your makeup routine for a crease-free soft-focus finish.
• Rena’s Thoughts:
  • My face can get really oily after a long day of work (I have 13 hour shifts!) and my makeup can start to look like it’s literally melting. Translucent powder has really saved my makeup so it can last all-day, and I am excited to try this one out.

🌸Daily Concepts Daily Detox Brush (Value $18)

• Description:
  • Your body needs TLC too. Exfoliate layers of dead skin and stimulate circulation with the brush’s natural bristles and massaging nodules.
  • Use dry or wet, scrub, and repeat. You can use the brush with your favorite body wash or on its own.
• Rena’s Thoughts:
  • I would like to get more into massages and brushes and really anything to stimulate blood flow throughout the body since it is so good for you. This will be a good start- and it came right to my door!

🌸Ouai Leave-in Conditioner (Value $26)

• Description:
  • We’re OUAI obsessed with this multitasking leave-in conditioner. IT works all day to smooth, soften, and detangle hair with moisturizing properties and enhanced heat protection.
  • Mist lightly throughout damp hair prior to brushing.
• Rena’s Thoughts:
  • I have been curious about Ouai for a while. I know it is one of Chrissy Teigen’s favorites, and that itself is enough for me really.

🌸Dr. Brandt Skincare Needles No More Baggage Eye De-Puffing Gel (Value $42)

• Description:
  • Visibly reduce the look of under-eye bags and dark circles with this breakthrough solution.
  • Do not be afraid of the salmon shade – it’s meant to color correct dark circles. Use your ring finger to pat a pea-sized amount directly under your eyes.
• Rena’s Thoughts:
  • I have used Dr. Brandt items before – thanks again to FFF!- and have loved all the items I have used before. My skin is very sensitive, so I am always wary of trying new products but I have never had any issues with Dr. Brandt!

🌸Manna Kadar Champagne Body Scrub (Value $24)

• Description:
  • Formulated with charcoal and Dead Sea minerals, the luxe and gentle body scrub removes dirt for polished, hydrated, and refreshed skin.
  • Apply evenly onto the body while gently massaging the skin, then rinse.
• Rena’s Thoughts:
  • To be honest, I will probably never use this body scrub. Just because I am the type of person who wants to be in and out of the shower. I will most likely give it to a friend that will. Otherwise, I love charcoal for detoxing and my current body wash has dead sea minerals.
