If you’re anything like me, then you’ve found yourself in this position many of times.
You just finished your workout. And you have no time to shower before you have to be somewhere. You’re sweaty, have no make-up on (or have long since sweat that completely off your face!), have a little bit of a red face, and are off to wherever you need to be.
Coming from someone who had to deal with this EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. during cross country season, I think I have actually found the way to pull it off. I had to go straight from practice to class every single day- and basically sprint up to class once I had a chance to change my clothes. I had to figure out a way to appear not sweaty or smelly or gross, because people would hate me haha.
SO, I started the hair flip. Not the literal slowly tilt your head forwards and then whip it back flip. But just giving it a deep part in the opposite direction. I wear my hair in a side part so I just part it in the other direction, but if you wear it normally in the middle then you can honestly just pick either direction.
It actually covers up the slightly damp/sweaty hairline from your forehead sweat. And/or if you’re like me and like to splash your face with cool water afterwards the excess water from the sink too (which also is not a good look when the rest of your hair is completely dry).
Also your hair is big and wavy and people notice that first. You wouldn’t believe how many “you look different today” or “something is different” or “did you get a new haircut?” questions I got. And, if you remember, I did this EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. So no nothing is different from yesterday- still just as sweaty and gross post-practice but YOU CANT TELL (or not really at least).
If it’s really bad and it was a real bad sweat session (aka really good in terms of your workout and your adrenaline is through the roof!!!), then shove some dry shampoo or baby powder into your roots and rough it up with your fingers. Then flip.
